NEW! Lower Fees and More Service Options for Protein ID Services
Protein ID services by LC-MS/MS and LC-MS are now available at significantly lower rates. Check out our list of services and fees. We provide individual mass spectrometry services as well as several protein ID packages comprising SDS-PAGE, in-gel digestion, LC-MS/MS and database search and include project consultation, instructions on sample preparation as well as data interpretation. Low cost protein ID options by Peptide Mass Fingerprinting on our new MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer are also available.
The Protein Structure Facility is currently working to establish 2-D gel electrophoresis and other sample preparation services. This will allow our clients to submit cell lysates and total protein fractions for analysis. The estimated availability for this service is March 2008.
Intact Molecular Weight measurement services are also available. Our state-of-the-art Waters UPLC-Qtof premier instrument provides superior resolution, mass accuracy and sensitivity for protein analysis. A newly installed instrument upgrade (the Identity E system by Waters Inc.) maximizes confidence in protein ID for proteins from mixtures. Interested investigators are required to consult with the facility prior to preparing samples for submission. Please contact Dr. Henriette Remmer at (hremmer@umich.edu) and check out the information about the sample submission procedure. To schedule a consultation, click here.
