Hours:

MSRB II site: Open from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM and from 1:15 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

LSI site: Open from 8:15 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Purpose:

The Biomedical Research Store provides University of Michigan research investigators easy on-site procurement of enzymes, reagents and kits used in molecular, cell biology and some protein chemistry. Over 700 catalog items from nine vendors are stocked on-site for immediate purchase. Large volume vendor contracts enable the store to negotiate very low prices as well as to eliminate all shipping and packaging fees.

Products: Vendors that currently have contracts with the store are Invitrogen/Life Technologies, Roche Molecular Biochemicals, Qiagen, Promega, New England Biolabs, Applied Biosystems, Cambrex, Stratagene and Sigma. Thousands of items from these vendors that are not stocked are available by special order and are generally available the next day. Stocked inventory at the MSRB II site will differ from the stocked inventory at the LSI site. All available products are available by special order at either site. How to Order: Please come to either store site with an approved University of Michigan 6-digit shortcode. If you are unsure of which shortcode to use, please contact your appropriate department personnel. Store personnel are available to assist you with your purchase and will give you a receipt for your transaction(s).

Special Orders:

Over 50,000 items are not stocked in our store but are included on our contracts. You can obtain these items by placing a special order. Special order forms are available at any store site, or you may call and request a special order form to be faxed to you. Please read the special order policy that outlines expected product arrival times as well as -70C storage conditions.

Billing: Your 6-digit shortcode will be billed semi-monthly by Service Unit Billing and will appear on your Statement of Activity. If you have questions regarding current or past charges to your account, please call 763-4715.
